We stayed at Howard Johnson Anaheim Hotel & Waterpark (HOJO) for a takeover by The Mommy Blogger Tribe and we had an awesome time! If you have kiddos and plan to visit Disneyland in the future, you have got to stay here! I live in Long Beach and never, I mean NEVER EVER, considered getting a hotel for a visit to Disneyland. You guys, I was messing up big time!!! HOJO is the perfect place to stay whether you have kiddos or not (I have a discount code for you at the end of this blog post). HOJO is located at 1380 S Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92802, has parking on-site for $20.00 and is only an 8 minute walk over to the Disney parks.
Check it out...
We started our day with a walk to the parks, had our Disney fun and decided to walk back over to escape the heat at the Garden Pool where we had a little party with The Mommy Blogger Tribe and Sunstaches. Sunstaches have the coolest character and party sunglasses. My daughters loved their Frozen and Minnie Mouse shades. We cooled down, had our fun and recharged our batteries to walk back over to the parks. At the end of the night, we walked back with plenty of other park go-ers and called it a night. We woke up the next day to a little breakfast spread in the House of the Retro Future Suite with The Mommy Blogger Tribe and GoGo Squeez. (Side note: My kiddos LOVE GoGo Squeez and, to be honest, I secretly hope they don't finish their fruit pouches so I can have some too LOL It doesn't happen often so I have stolen a couple on the low hehe!) After breakfast, we headed over to the parks again and made our way back to HOJO at about noon to get some refreshing fun at Castaway Cove, a pirate ship themed waterpark. It was awesome! They have a 1 foot deep toddler pool, 13 water fountains, toddler slide, big kid slide, water umbrellas, mini water cannons (which I got shot with multiple times), hot tub whirlpool spa, and the thing that got everyone excited: a 200 gallon drench bucket that drops in the very center of all the action. My four year old LOVED it, but my two year old was scared of it. We had an epic time there and it was a very welcomed break from the summer heat at the parks! Once we washed off, we changed and headed back over to the park for more Disney fun.

After this incredible experience, I really don't see myself going to Disneyland without having a room at HOJO in the future. It really made our Disney trip much more comfortable being able to escape the heat mid-day and recharge for the second half of the day at the parks. When you're beat at the end of the night from all the Disney fun, it's really nice to have such a quick walk over to your clean and comfortable room. My only regret about our stay at HOJO was that I only booked one night!
