Light & Easy Lettuce Wrap

Ok guys get excited! This is another good recipe! So once the holiday season hit and I really fell off the healthy train, I started feeling it so I decided to try cutting back on the bad carbs and fried foods. I came up with this one day: turkey/veggie/hummus lettuce wrap. It is light, delicious, filling and super easy to make!

Here's what you need:

  • Romaine lettuce

  • Bag of frozen veggies

  • Ground turkey

  • Hummus

Start by peeling and mincing two cloves of garlic and throw it in your pot with just barely enough olive oil to coat the pan. Sautee lightly (low heat to avoid burning) and add your ground turkey (turn it up to medium heat now).

Season to taste and cook for about 10 minutes.

Add your bag of frozen veggies and cook for another 5 minutes.

Wash your romaine lettuce leaves one by one, bring out the hummus and, BOOM, it’s ready to eat!

Forgot to buy hummus? Ok I got you... I made my own hummus and it was DELICIOUS!!! I used a recipe by DOWNSHIFTOLOGY with Lisa Bryan. Here’s the link: https://downshiftology.com/recipes/3-minute-hummus/

Now you can enjoy and thank me later!
